As discussed in a previous article on political blogs, today
blogs do play an important role in the politics. The major
beneficiaries are the students who would feel rather encouraged
by participating in direct conversation with the politicians
through Blogs rather going for boring speech or T.V. telecast.
Through the use of Blog the politicians can easily spread
their ideas to a vast range of audience or supporters. Thus
the concept of supporters’ blogs came into being where
discussion about campaign can be done quite considerably.
Even the peoples’ criticism can reach directly to the
politicians, thus generating a much better impact.
It is a proven fact that Internet could be an effective way
to organize and mobilize political supporters. Recent studies
on US political scenario led us to the result that campaign
through the help of Blogs can win the heart of million of
supporters and can raise money to the extent of $50 million.
In the recent Presidential election of the United States,
Daily Kos’ have donated nearly $500,000 to Sen. John
Kerry’s party. Bloggers are very much effective and
helpful for the efforts of raising funds as well as for spreading
messages. In similar effort to support Mr. Bush, bloggers
have encouraged readers to support him and have also asked
for donations sponsoring the Victory Wednesday, and about
140 bloggers from Blogs for Bush participated in it.
Thus it is seen that Blogs have gained much influence over
the US political scenario. One more reason for this is that
information spreads very fast through Internet and if the
subject is interesting as that of politics, it is bound to
attract more and more audience or masses.
