Success of Blogging


As we all got to know by now, blogging is a new Internet phenomenon where individuals write directly for their own websites. Some people have achieved huge success attracting about 0.1 million monthly visitor. But the threat remains as to whether such independent bloggers will survive the upsurge of the big corporate leaders. But not all go for blogging.

The success of blogging can be credited to the possibility for a solo web journalist to create and distribute his/her research, reporting and written opinions. Now-a-days, laymen with very little technical knowledge can also create their own blogs. Blogger has reduced the need for media companies because individual journalists can now physically produce and distribute their contents.

Bloggers has actually increased information costs to the individuals by making it easy to create a professional looking web site. If it were costly affair then there would not be much bloggers. Thus by making it possible for anyone to easily create a nice looking web site, blogger has reduced the visual clues.

But among success it has its weakness also. The proliferation of blogging sites makes it especially difficult for consumers to know which bloggers they would find interesting, because to get a worthy blog for reading it costs the readers their time.
